Great tips! Two questions I could use help on: 1)How do you get them to send you the Evidence of coverage - I.e., clear detaied info on coverage and exclusions before you apply? When I've shopped in the past, they just give you a marketing brochure and it's hard to discern what you'd really be getting. 2)My frined the actuary said that it's bad to apply and get turned down/makes it harder to get coverage w anyone else. so, how can one find out in advance what their criteria are? I a pretty healthy, but I take a drug to prevent deterioration of bones. Some will turn me down since long-term thing. They'd rather wait til i get a broken hip and maybe cover that.

By the way, I have midwest since becoming selfempl and while the monthly premium started at ~$220, it's been almost $1000 for several years! I've ah dno luck so far inding an alterntive -some of the offeings wre so unclea I could not tell what they'd actually cover
