Here's something to go along with twitter - Micro Mobile Brand (MMB) Channel.

MobileShortcut provides mobile service components (e.g. mAlbum, mCatalog, mBook, mFeedback) that can be easily personalized for specific product, campaign, service, etc. E.g., to promote a new car model XR7, you can use MobileShortcut service to create a MMB channel as http://mobileShortcut.com/*XR7 which leads to a mCatalog entry, or an mAlbum for the new car, or an mBook, or a promotion event. Or, the channel simply leads to the mobile site of XR7 with all the above lumped in.

MMB channel stays the same across the time of your campaign, or the life time of the product. You need only refer to this very channel on all other marketing fronts of yours (e.g. Twitter, brochure, ads, web)

PR has done wonders for our product line. Since our home office started participating in PR events and 'giftng' jewelry to some stars, we got an increase in publicity. The stars wear the jewelry, we benefit because the desire for the product is created...Check out my website and see all the publicity pictures....

I run a small company and the recession makes me re-examine my advertising budget. I ran across claims that publicity may be much more cost effective than advertising, but found no formal studies on it. I always thought PR was too expensive for small businesses but in doing my research I posted my project on AllPublicists.com (it’s a free service), and got many low-cost offers from publicists. One firm for example, called Publicity Guaranteed (PublicityGuaranteed.com) doesn’t charge anything unless they deliver results. However, most companies still put much more reliance on advertising than on PR. Is it because pay-for-results-only publicity such a new option or am I missing something? Are there any studies on the subject?
