Energy Company Makes a Green Leap of Faith

High energy prices created such a demand for energy-efficient heating and cooling systems last year, that Jason Barrick, owner of MJ Barrick Heating & Cooling, a heating, ventilating and air conditioning installer in New Bloomfield, Pa., decided to take an enormous leap of faith. He began selling only environmentally-friendly products. The gamble has paid off: In the past year and a half, his sales have doubled. Not only that, but Barrick is convinced that this opportunity will only grow as more government funds are spent on making buildings and residences more energy efficient. “There will only be so many people who are certified to work under the [government’s] green program,” he says.

There is an old saying that one man's trash is another's treasure, and the same is true of recessions. Some panic and fall apart, while others facing the exact same set of circumstances prosper and find profits. This article is a great reminder that creativity can grow great things under pressure... hope every reader does what I did, forward it to other creative biz leaders so that they grow stronger instead of stressed.
